Controls

Define checks and questionnaires for orders to ensure quality, compliance, and completion.

Overview

Controls are used mainly by field workers to perform checks on installations, deliveries, or other tasks.

They provide a structured way to ensure that work is performed correctly, compliance requirements are met, and quality is maintained.

Access & Management

Only Admins can create and manage controls.

Controls are managed in Admin → Order → Controls.

When creating a control, Admins define:

  • Name of the control
  • One or more order types (only relevant controls will show up for the selected order types)
  • Whether the installer’s signature is required
  • Whether the end customer’s signature is required
  • Whether performing the control should automatically mark the order as done (read more)

Control Questions

Each control contains one or more control questions.

A control question consists of:

  • Title - The main instruction or question
  • Subtitle - Additional information or guidance
  • Text field (Notes) - For the installer to enter information
  • Image field - For uploading or taking a picture (mobile-friendly)

When defining a control question, Admins can specify whether:

  • The text field is mandatory
  • The image is mandatory

This ensures that the person performing the control provides all required information.

Use Cases

Controls are versatile and can be used for:

  • Ensuring the installer has completed all necessary steps (like a checklist)
  • Compliance, guarantees, and quality checks
  • Rigid or formal verification processes

For simpler checklists, consider using Todos instead.
