Invoices
Understand how invoices work in SeeRM and how they relate to orders and articles.
Overview
In SeeRM, every order has an invoice.
The invoice represents the financial summary of the order and is built using articles, which act as the invoice line items.
You can read more about Articles
Articles & Line Items
- Each line item in an invoice is an article
- You can also create custom articles that only exist on that specific order
- Custom articles are useful for one-off costs or adjustments
More details about articles and custom articles in the Articles tab
Sending Invoices
If you have the Fortnox integration enabled, invoices can be sent directly from SeeRM to Fortnox, where the remaining invoicing steps are handled.
Invoice Settings
There are general invoice settings that apply system-wide.
These settings can only be configured by Admins and are located in:
Admin → Settings → Invoice
Examples of available settings include:
- Default payment terms (term days)
- Tax percentage
- Default invoice behavior
Some settings define default values, but can still be adjusted on individual invoices.
For example:
- You can set default term days, but change them per invoice if needed
- You can choose whether invoices should go directly to the end customer or to a partner (if configured in Fortnox)
Adding Line Items
To add a line item to an invoice:
- Click on an empty line in the invoice
- Search for an existing article
- If no matching article exists, you will be prompted to create a custom article
When added, the article starts with a quantity of 1, which can be adjusted afterward.
