Invoice Statuses
Learn what each invoice status means and how they are used.
Overview
Every order in SeeRM has an invoice, and each invoice moves through different statuses during its lifecycle.
An invoice always starts with the status New.
Statuses Explained
New
The invoice has been created but not yet approved or sent.
Approved
The invoice has been accepted and is ready to be sent.
This status is set when you download the invoice, typically to send it manually.
Sent
The invoice has been exported to an invoicing system.
This usually happens when you send the invoice through an integration such as Fortnox.
Overdue
The invoice is Approved or Sent, and the due date has passed without payment.
Paid
The invoice has been fully paid.
If you are using an external invoicing integration (such as Fortnox), this status is updated automatically.
Otherwise, it can be set manually.
Cancelled
The invoice has been cancelled and is no longer valid.
As with Paid, this status is automatically handled by external invoicing systems when integrated, or manually if invoices are managed outside of SeeRM.
