Order Type | Docs

Order Type is one of the two main categorization mechanisms for orders. The other is Order Partner, which you can read more about in Order Partners.

Order types describe what the order is. Admins can create and manage order types under Admin → Order → Types.

Examples:

If the order represents a product, the order type would typically be the product name
If the order represents an installation, the order type would describe the installation
If the order represents maintenance, the order type would reflect that

For example:

A simple battery installation could have the order type Battery
If different battery installations differ in how they are installed or who can install them, you could create more granular types such as Powercell Battery
